Family and history of Fiona Berylstar:

Fiona was born in Falstaff, March 15, 577 to Joachin Ravendale and Morgyn. Her mother died permanently in childbirth and ever since, her father raised her.  Falstaff was a very small town, almost two weeks south east of Ashton. Fiona's father was a farm-owner, very superstitious and feared anything he could not explain, especially magic. She grew up with the other farmers' children, Fiona's best friends were Ginny and her brother Thomas. Ginny and Fiona played with rag dollies, and Thomas would sneak up and scare them. That was pretty much the majority of their day as children. They fed animals, helped pick corn, and such. It was a very happy life.

Occasionally, her papa would board travelers in their home to make a little extra money. During this time, Ginny's mom taught The two girls how to sew and read and write. These were the happiest times of Fiona's life. Quite a few adventurers visited their home, which made for quite a few fun and boisterous evenings, singing and "playing" hostess to the travelers.

One day, Thomas and Fiona walked to the nearby creek to get water for her cow, It was their twelfth summer. It was a terribly hot summer, so they splashed around in the water. On the way back, he had started acting strange, so she asked him what was wrong. Well, he kissed her on the cheek and ran away! They were in love ever since!

In the summer of 594, just as Thomas and Fiona were about to be married, Fiona's home was attacked. Thomas begged her to hide in the cellar. He said he would be back for her when it was safe. She saw some of the battle through cracks in the wooden door.  She saw her father being surrounded by men, and she then saw Thomas run through. After that Fiona ran and hid herself in the farthest corner behind supplies. She waited and waited, and for almost a day after the last sounds of fighting had stopped.

Finally she went outside and saw Ginny, crying. Ginny said that Thomas had been killed as had Fiona's father. She said that they did not think they resurrected.

Fiona heard that they were mercenaries hired to find corpses for Necromancers. She hoped that seeing as they had hopefully found what they were looking for, they would never come back.

Fiona tried to return to normal life, and took possession and ownership of her father’s, nearly destroyed farm. Ginny and Fiona also started visiting Pasha, an old woman their town. They talked for hours, she was a widow, and Fiona felt like one. They shared a lot in common, and it was nice to have someone to talk with.

Pasha mentioned one day that Fiona's mother was the most beautiful gypsy woman she had ever seen. Fiona had never known that her mother was a gypsy. She asked Pasha as much as she could, but Pasha was very old and her memory was not what it used to be. All Fiona found out was that her mother had long dark hair, always wore beautiful clothing that she made herself, was very a happy woman.

Seven years later, 601, Fiona stumbled on more information that led her to leave Falstaff.  She packed a few supplies, said goodbye to Ginny and Pasha, and left in search of her mother’s clan and history. This was the beginning of Fiona's adventure.

On her way to Ashton (a town she had never heard of before the locket), she was met by a band of large monsters and was attacked. Unprepared, she was completely thrashed. Fiona woke up in a camp of human-looking creatures that, in return for mending a few articles of clothing and help around their camp, gave her room to rest, healing and food. They also taught her the basics of defending herself with a dagger.

Fiona made the rest of the trip safely and sent word of her arrival to the Piper’s Haunt. Serranna the biata answered her letter. Serrana asked if she was interested in helping build a workshop. When Fiona got to town, she met up with the members of House Brightmoore. And they helped her around Ashton for her first market day. There She met Mica Berylstar, a very powerful earth caster. Fiona watched him perform a resurrection…. she was so amazed by his knowledge of earth magic, and wanted to ask him to be his apprentice, but was too nervous he might say no.

Finally, she got the courage, and asked him after seeing him again in Lumberton. Fiona was then apprenticed to Mica Berylstar and Lord Fooz Colbaron. And slowly but surely, began to fall in love with Mica’s quirky personality. Before she knew it, she was at the Galavast festival. When she entered town limits, and found Lord Fooz.   He told Fiona that she needed to speak with Mica and Galena, the bandolier of the Berylstar clan who had been helping her try and find her mother’s clan.

Apparently, Galena had decided that Mica and Fiona were to be married. Having never spoken of her feelings to Mica, she was shocked! (And so was I.  This is more the kind of thing that Dia does.)  Fiona took Mica aside and they "discussed things." They decided to postpone the wedding until they knew each other a bit better.

After a lot of odd occurrences and twists of fate, Fiona found out her mother was alive and she had a gypsy brother! In the meantime, Fiona completed a quest by a mysterious "Game Master" and was rewarded with a vision of her mother and what she assumed to be her brother and then a sign that said "To Ashton"

Mica and Fiona met again at Galavast. During a battle with chaos elementals and brown lizards, Mica proposed to her. (Funny timing) She was overjoyed and agreed. Fiona went through a ceremony to make her Quilan Shen Melan D’har’s sister in the eyes of the gorbe people. Galena blessed Fiona with a race change as a wedding gift.  (And now Fiona doesn't talk quite so funny anymore.) They were wed the next day. She made it through the gauntlet, and proved her love for Mica. It was the most wonderful day of her life. (And they was much rejoicing.)
