MICHAEL DeLORENZO as Eddie Torres Michael DeLorenzo portrays Eddie Torres,
a Puerto Rican cop who is partnered with African-American cop J.C. Williams
(Malik Yoba) in the one-hour drama New York Undercover. Eddie is a sensitive,
aware cop who understands the streets. He has a warm
relationship with his father's friend, a nightclub owner
named Natalie (Gladys Knight), but has a strained relationship
with his recovering drug addict father.

DeLorenzo is a multi-talented entertainer with a varied background in movies, theater,
dance and television. His screen credits include Mi Familia with Edward James Olmos,
Judgment Night, Alive, A Few Good Men, Diggstown and Fame. DeLorenzo starred
as Alex Torres in the hit television series Head of the Class and appeared in episodes
of Miami Vice, A Different World, Crime Story, Police Story, Bronx Zoo and Fame.
His theater credits include the most recent Broadway revival of West Side Story
and featured roles in Paperbird and Aria Da Capo. In Los Angeles
he won the L.A. Drama Critic's Circle Award for his lead performance
in Stand-Up Tragedy and appeared in Tumbleweed.

Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, the second of four children,
DeLorenzo's mother is Puerto Rican and his father is Italian.
He attended New York's famed High School of the Performing Arts
and spent a year in a music conservatory. He won a dance scholarship
to the School of American Ballet and later the New York School of Ballet,
where he studied under Richard Thomas and attended classes led
by Baryshnikov and principal dancers from the American Ballet Theater.
At age 15, DeLorenzo toured as a principal dancer with the U.S. Terpsishore Company.
When he injured his knee dancing, he was told that he would never dance again.
Still motivated to perform, he began exploring acting as a creative outlet.
