Scholarship Fund, which is used to help Latino college students achieve their dream
of becoming journalists. Michael hosted the evening;
"Sonrisa Latina" (Latin Smile), a concert produced by Benitez Entertainment in conjunction
with LIFEbeat, featured Michael and Lauren Vélez on Feb. 14, at The Roxy in New York.;
Blowout 97 a fundraising event, to benefit Reef Relief. Michael DeLorenzo performed
or made an appearance at the Arch Club in Miami Beach;
Michael attended Sports Ball '97, a sports-themed gala to benefit the Arthur Ashe Institute
for Urban Health (AAIUH). The event was April 29 held at The Waldorf Astoria Hotel;
Latino Art and Culture: America Past and Present: A vocal addition was done by Michael
for the continuence of educating all on the latino culture.

He appeared at the Showtime Boxing matches of Danny Romera and Johnny Tapia with fellow cast members of Resurrection Blvd. He was interviewed for the show at the end of the fights.

Spirit of the Sage Council, on Earth Day. I've been told by, Q's
Assistant General Manager, that he will be participating in the
Celebrity Pool Tournament benefitting the organization. It will
take place
at Q's Billiards Club in Pasadena, CA on April 22nd, 7PM -1:30 AM.

Serving as master of ceremonies will be Michael DeLorenzo of the critically acclaimed FOX show, New York Undercover. The event awards scholarships to deserving young Latina women who've competed through scholastic achievement, community involvement and who have demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
